Uniity 3d and Dx11




over the weekend I wrapped up and ripped a old highpoly fan art model I created back in my collage days when learning tech and production art. I'v been playing around in Unity and exploring its Dx11 capabilities. With displacement maps, advanced shader models and light probes this old locust with all its large forms and assortment of material types will be a good test bed.

helpful 3ds max tips


Wire frame vision tip : This tip can help prevent developing models that look better in wire frame mode. It can also help save a few clicks when working too :) 


 -Goto the top left of the 3dsmax viewport and find the "+" icon then right click on it. 


-Scroll down to and click "viewport configurations....." 


-Goto the top tab that says "Visual Style & Appearances" 


-look down and find the area labeled "Selections" section. 


-Uncheck all the options within that section except "Display Selection with Edge Faces" 


The wireframe is now turned off for all objects and will turn on automatically when a object is selected :)
